Selective Sourcing

Managed Services, Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing etc., to the uninitiated, are simply variations on a theme, labeled according to the current fashion for service delivery. Over the past couple of years, sourcing strategies have matured from single service provider to selective sourcing or multi-sourcing where organisations seek to gain further competitive advantage through employing ‘best-of-breed’ service providers.

The Selective Sourcing Service model is one of selective outsourcing, where a preferred partner manages certain applications and services driven by the client's desire to mitigate risk and realise increased reward.
Shoden’s Selective Sourcing Services focuses and specialises in its core business by providing  the following services :

  • Server (System) Administration
  • Storage Administration

The scope of this service is tailored to meet the client’s particular requirements. This may be the complete service provision of the client’s server and storage environments or may be additions to a client’s existing server or storage team to deliver management/operation activities.   These services are provided onsite at the client.
The initial duration of the service typically ranges from a one to a three year engagement period and can be contracted for longer periods, as required.
