Installation Manager V4.70X
Back to product information
Installation Manager offers several operating modes for different types of usage. In “guided installation mode” a server is configured step-by-step, with each input being checked for plausibility. The resulting installation description (configuration file) can be used for unattended installation of identical hardware configurations.
Installation Manager installs ServerView Suite manage-ment applications, updates, drivers and service packs. Using the server configuration utility “SCU”, Installation Manager defines BIOS settings, for example for information or recovery functions (ASR&R – Automatic Server Reconfiguration and Restart) and the baseboard management controller (BMC). Installation Manager is supplied as part of the PRIMERGY ServerStart package. This contains the PRIMERGY ServerView Suite software, including all tools for initial installation and later upgrades. It also includes documentation and maintenance drivers. Operating systems or tools available as separate products are not included here! For updates, the suite is available as a subscription bundle with approximately 10 releases per year. |
