The PRIMERGY BX600 GbE Intelligent Blade Panel 30/12 (IBP 30/12) is an integrated Gigabit Ethernet Connection Blade for use in the PRIMERGY BX600 chassis. The IBP 30/12 can be installed up to 2 times and in each case offers 30x 1Gbit down-link ports to the mid-plane for the connection to the Server Blades and 12x 1-Gbit up-link ports (RJ45) for external LAN connections.

The Intelligent Blade Panel combines the switch advantage of cable and port consolidation with the pass-thru advantage of working fully (VLAN) transparent and the lack of any protocol compatibility issues. Server Blade LAN ports may be grouped, together with one or more external ports, into independent named port groups. Using the so-called Management VLAN grouping feature, a separate VLAN-based management access to each Server Blade may be assigned.
